(Nashville, Tenn.) July 31, 2008 – The momentum for singer/songwriter Brandon Heath’s upcoming sophomore album release What If We continues to swell as the digital sales of the album’s first single “Give Me Your Eyes” brings in another 6,700 downloads its second week out. This follows the song’s first-week sales of nearly 6,000 downloads, which claimed the highest debut week for a Christian track in 2008 to date.
The upward trend puts “Give Me Your Eyes” over 12,500 single downloads in the two weeks since release, and at the top of the Christian music digital charts, reaching the No. 1 spot on iTunes for a second consecutive week.
On Aug. 19, Heath will release his anticipated sophomore album What If We. Brandon Heath quickly became a fixture at Christian radio with the release of his debut project. His mega-hit “I’m Not Who I Was” raced to No. 1 and ended 2007 as one of the year’s most played radio singles. In April, Brandon won the esteemed honor of New Artist of the Year at the 39th Annual Gospel Music Dove Awards. Heath currently resides in Houston, Texas, and is a worship leader at The Loft church located in The Woodlands.
